Virginia Beach Demolition Co

Privacy & Environmental Policy

This policy is a draft that has not been reviewed by counsel. Last updated: October 23, 2026.

Part One: Your Information

The short version

Virginia Beach Demolition Co ("we") runs this website to answer questions about demolition work in Virginia Beach and to book site assessments. We use what you send us to reply to you and to quote the job. We do not sell your details, and we do not send promotional email lists.

What you give us directly

When you fill out the assessment form or call, you may share the following:

  • Your name, phone number and email address.
  • The service you are asking about and any message you type.
  • Details about the property or project, such as its type, location and timeline, if you choose to include them.

What your browser sends automatically

Like most websites, our host and our analytics tools may receive technical data, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, the page that referred you, and the time of your visit. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

  • To answer your inquiry and prepare an estimate or scope.
  • To schedule a site visit and follow up on your project.
  • To keep the site secure and filter out spam and bots.
  • To see which pages help visitors and which need work.
  • To meet legal or recordkeeping obligations where they apply.

Who handles it for us

We do not sell or rent personal information. Some of it passes through service providers that help us run the site: a web host, an email delivery provider that sends your form submission to us, and analytics tools. These providers process data to perform their services for us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or when needed to protect people, property or our rights.

Cookies and the consent banner

The cookie banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings; some site features may work less smoothly if you do.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry details for as long as needed to respond, handle the project and meet recordkeeping duties, then delete or anonymize them when practical. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics provider.

Your choices as a Virginia resident

Virginia has a comprehensive privacy statute, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, but it applies only to businesses that meet certain volume thresholds, and we may fall below them. Whether or not it covers us, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop using it for follow-up. Where applicable law gives you additional rights, we will honor them. Call (757) 699-1638 or use the contact form to make a request.

Security and minors

We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive data such as payment card or government ID numbers through the form. This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children; contact us if you think a child has sent us details and we will remove them.

Part Two: Environmental Practices

Working near the water

Virginia Beach sits between the Atlantic, the Chesapeake Bay and tidal creeks. On every job we try to keep dust, runoff and loose debris on the property, and we flag any site that touches waterfront, wetland or buffer areas so the owner can confirm local requirements with the city before work starts.

Sorting and disposal

Where practical, we separate clean concrete and masonry, metal and clean wood from mixed debris so they can go to recycling or processing facilities instead of a landfill. Remaining waste goes to facilities permitted to accept it under Virginia and local rules. Confirm current disposal requirements with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the city.

Asbestos and other hazardous materials

Older buildings can contain asbestos, lead paint or other regulated materials. Before demolition we coordinate a survey and, where required, the notification filed with the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry. Asbestos inspectors and abatement contractors are licensed through the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, and abatement is done by licensed firms. Requirements change, so check current rules with the agencies.

Dust, noise and neighbors

We use water or other dust control during teardown and sweep up before leaving the site. Work hours and noise limits are set by the city, so we plan around them and around the properties next door.
